In this programme they explore the musical links between England and the Continent through various songs, dances and consort pieces associated with Elizabeth I and her courtiers. Composers featured include John Dowland, Richard Allison, Antony Holborn, Daniel Bacheler, William Byrd and Alfonso Ferrabosco.
The Kaisersaal dates to c. 1600 but was shrouded in later plaster and its existence was forgotten. It was discovered in 1979 and restored for concerts, plays and seminars.

Zwei der Greatest Madrigal Hits des 16. Jahrhunderts sind „April is in my mistress’ face“ (1594) und „Now is the month of Maying“ (1595) und beide stammen aus der Feder von Thomas Morley (1557/8-1602). Er vertonte zudem zwei Texte von Shakespeare: „It was a lover and his lass“ aus Wie es euch gefällt und „O Mistress Mine“ aus Was ihr wollt. Shakespeare und Morley gehörten sogar der gleichen Kirchengemeinde an und haben sich höchstwahrscheinlich gekannt. Morley, der auch Kirchenorganist war, schrieb innovative Musik für ein spezielles Ensemble von sechs Instrumenten, das ‚Broken Consort‘ (Violine, Flöte, Laute, Bandora, Cittern, Viola da Gamba). Dabei spielt die Laute eine besonders wichtige Rolle mit ihren ununterbrochenen Kaskaden von virtuosen Verzierungen. Kurzweilige Instrumentalstücke und feinkomponierte, stimmungsvolle Vokalwerke: ein echter Hörgenuss!

Cerrará el Ciclo el grupo Tunelanders ,coordinado por Joan Boronat. Nos ofrecerán un acercamiento a las tonadas ,”tunes” (de ahí el nombre del grupo) de origen irlandés y escocés que aparecen en diversos cancioneros de los XVII y XVIII y en composiciones de músicos barrocos de la época. Con este material de base, Tunelanders ofrecerá arreglos para instrumentos como : violín, clavicémbalo, flauta de pico y traversa barroco, violonchelo, guitarra barróca y zanfoña.
The Tunelanders offers an Approach to the “tunes” (hence the number of the group) of Scottish and Irish origin that show up in the seventeenth and eighteenth century and compositions of the period (so called aroque music). With this base material, Tunelanders will offer arrangements for instrumentos as: violin, harpsichord, flute and flute traverso, baroque cello, baroque guitar and harpsicord.

バリトンは、17世紀～18世紀にかけて、ヨーロッパの一部の上流階級で演奏された弦楽器で、弓で音を鳴らす他に、裏側からはじいて演奏することも可能な、共鳴用の金属製の弦を備えた特殊な構造をしています。
「バリトン・トリオ」とは、このバリトンにヴィオラとバス（チェロまたはコントラバス）を加えた編成からなり、とりわけ古典派を代表する作曲家J.ハイドンが、バリトンを愛奏した当時の君主であるエステルハーズィ候のために多くの作品を残しました。
今回の「トリオ・シュタットルマン」による一連の公演では、その楽器の希少性ゆえに今日では実演の機会が極めて少ない音楽を、当時の編成そのままでお聞きいただきます。
Baryton is a string-bowed instrument which was played by noble class people mostly in between seventeenth and eighteenth centuries in Europe. This rare instrument has a special structure with metal strings which seeks for resonance, and also allows performer to pluck.
Baryton-Trio is a combination of Baryton, Viola, and Bass instrument (either cello or doublebass in Viennese style), and particularly the famous classical composer
Jopeph Haydn wrote numerous works for this ensemble mostly intended for the Duke of Esterhazy, who was in favor of playing Baryton.
This series of concerts performed by Trio Stadlmann is quite valuable opportunity to present this kind of repertoire to Japanese audience.
